PROJECT NUCLEUS is an opportunity to purposefully dialogue
with York's most innovative community animators
to incubate your ideas.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
Project Nucleus is about opportunity.
An Opportunity to Share
Rarely do we take original ideas to a diverse group of people who are there to listen to you.
You will receive honest feedback that you don't typically get from those within
your organization, field, or personal and professional circles.
An Opportunity to Design
Not only will you get constructive feedback, you will creatively build your ideas,
discuss pitfalls, and make connections around your concept.
An Opportunity to Listen
Project Nucleus is also about listening and engaging with others'
genuine passions and professional work. You will engage with them to build a creative capacity
that isn't about you - but an investment in them.

WHAT "IDEA" SHOULD I BRING TO PROJECT NUCLEUS?
Project Nucleus has involved people from major York companies, non-profits, and independent ventures. Each individual works within a structure for developing projects within the organization
and answers to different stakeholders. Your ideas will be unique to your situation!
Here are a few previous ideas shared at Project Nucleus.
Keystone Kidspace
In the early days of Keystone Kidspace, Jessica Brubaker brought the idea of broadening engagement
and pulling more interest into educational and recreational opportunities downtown.
Human Library: York
Katie Hartman's passion for books extended beyond her role in education when she shared
the human library concept at Project Nucleus. She used the opportunity to network with York's animators and build the foundation for her project.
Farm to City and York's Food Desert
Dru Peters from Sunnyside farm shared a strong desire to address York's inability to provide fresh, local produce to significant geographical sectors of the community. She used the Farm to City event and her passion for farming to gain insight from others throughout the community.
